Privacy Policy

This page says, in plain words, what Max collects, what he does with it, and what he never does. If anything here is unclear, write to max@coherentsystemsgroup.com.

1. What Max collects

  1. The phone numbers of the people in a group chat that Max has been added to.
  2. The messages sent in that chat while Max is a member ~ words, photos, documents, and reactions ~ with the time they were sent and who sent them.
  3. Nothing else. Max does not read your other chats, your contacts, or anything outside the chat he was added to.

If you ask for a beta invite on this website, we keep the email you give us only to reach you about the beta, and delete it when you tell us to or when the beta ends.

2. How you get in ~ and how you stay out

When Max joins a chat, every person in it receives a short notice that he is there, what he reads, and who runs him. Then each person is asked, individually, whether it is OK for Max to read their messages. Text YES and you are in. Text NO, or say nothing, and Max ignores every message you send ~ completely. Your words do not enter the record, and nothing changes about how you use the chat. You can change your answer at any time by texting YES or NO. Anyone under 18 is included only with a parent or guardian's YES.

3. What Max does with it

  1. Keeps a record of the chat ~ who said what, what was decided, what is still open.
  2. Answers questions about that chat, from that record, when someone in the chat asks.
  3. Nothing else.

4. What we never do

  1. We do not sell your phone number, your messages, or anything about you.
  2. We do not share phone numbers or messages with third parties for their marketing, and we do not share them with affiliates for marketing. Mobile information is not shared with anyone for marketing or promotional purposes.
  3. We do not use your messages to train AI models without your separate, explicit permission.
  4. We do not send you marketing messages. Max only speaks in the chat he was added to, and only about that chat.
  5. Max does not accept credit card numbers, bank details, Social Security numbers, health records, or anything marked confidential. If someone pastes one in, he refuses it and it does not enter the record.

5. Who can see the record

  1. The people in the chat, by asking Max.
  2. The person who added Max ~ the chat's owner ~ who can request a full copy at any time.
  3. During this pilot, the people at Coherent Systems Group who operate Max can see the messages in a chat while running it. We say this plainly because it is true today; it will change when the pilot ends, and this page will change with it.
  4. The companies whose services carry Max: Cloudflare (where the record is stored, encrypted at rest), Twilio (which delivers the texts), and Anthropic (whose AI model reads each message to file it). Each is bound to use the data only to provide its service to us.

6. How long we keep it

For the life of the chat. When the chat's owner tells Max the chat is finished, the full record is given to the owner and then deleted from our systems within 30 days. Nothing is kept afterward except a line saying that the deletion happened.

7. Your choices

  1. Text NO or STOP in the chat at any time and Max stops reading your messages.
  2. Text HELP and Max explains himself.
  3. Email max@coherentsystemsgroup.com to ask for a copy of what Max holds about you, or to ask for it to be deleted.

8. Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, Max will say so in every chat he is in, and the date at the top of this page will change.
